From Elna: I had to write this book while my memory was still intact. When my husband began forgetting much of his history (Alzheimer's) I realized how important writing a personal life story could be. We had put together for him a pictorial scrapbook of his life. He looked at it almost every day. We lost him in August. He had been diagnosed with an advanced cancer in 1999. We were fortunate to have had him as long as we did.
The book took over three years to write. Much of it had to be written between 3-5 early mornings. Luckily I had saved source material from a decade of newspaper columns I had written for the Berkshire Eagle back in the 1970's. Some experiences I have never told before, probably because they are so hard to believe. Hopefully readers can keep an open mind and suspend judgment.
Bright, expansive JUPITER will be in the Uranian sign Aquarius all year.This should give an exponential boost to the Uranus-ruled electronics industry and cyberspace. Jupiter has an expansive, freedom-loving energy, though likely to be quirky and erratic posited in ingenious, eccentric Aquarius. Uranus-ruled Aquarius can be jarring or even startling because it will change the status quo if we have long outgrown it.
Losing a job can be freeing and expansive, but not in a way we might have chosen. Still, sudden change may be what it takes to force us all toward a new direction where we can grow and learn new ways of operating, ready or not. Freedom can be invigorating and scary at the same time.
The Saturn-Uranus oppositions are so powerful they override all other aspects this year. The first Saturn-Uranus opposition (status quo vs. change) occurred around the November election.
The second opposition occurred after the Inaugural when we seemed to pass into a new era.The third and last Saturn-Uranus opposition occurs September 15. Although the financial crisis will not be over by then- we may at least have solved problems and dulled the sharpest edges of it. Those born between ages 43-45 will experience this potent Saturn/Uranus tug-of-war more acutely than most.It will be a work-hard year. Saturn in Virgo will have it no other way. We may be amazed at an "inventive, take-charge energy and muscle power" that may even include bartering and exchange of services in the want ads as well as online. People may surprise themselves at their own cleverness and creative potential.
