Beyond Astrology:  Names in the News

BARACK OBAMA is a Leo with the Moon in Aquarius, born August 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii.President Obama is also in his Jupiter Return which occurred Inauguration Day.
President Obama is beginning a new 12-year cycle (as will all those who have Jupiter in Aquarius in their charts). It is as if Obama has emerged from a cocoon into a new place. This can be jarring because Uranus-ruled can bring change in the twinkling of an eye. Jupiter opens the doors to a new freedom, and new horizons. It takes adjustment and adaptation.

MICHELLE OBAMA is an attorney, born January 17, 1965 in Chicago. Michelle Obama is a Capricorn with the Moon in Pisces. Her Saturn is in Aquarius. Right now she may feel confined after having to leave her job and having to adjust so quickly to a new life. By April, Jupiter will conjoin her natal Saturn and free her up to do new work that she has chosen.

Malia Ann Obama is a Cancerian born July 4, 1998, Chicago,IL

Natasha (Sasha) Obama is A Gemini, born June 8,2001, Chicago,IL

    ASTROLOGY AND THE ENNEAGRAM

ASTROLOGY has twelve signs which are "archetypes". We have all twelve of the sign archetypes within us. But it appears we are called to express certain ones on the stage of life in this incarnation.

The Enneagram has nine archetypes. Some of the basic types "remind" us of certain signs of the zodiac. (1) The Reformer could be either Virgo or Aquarius. (2) The Helper could be a Taurus or a Pisces. (3) The Achiever could be Capricorn. (4) The Individualist could be a Leo (5) The Investigator could be Scorpio (6) The Loyalist could be Cancer. (7)The Enthusiast could be Gemini (8) The Challenger could be an Aries, and (9) The Peacemaker sounds like Libra.

    Your Moon Reaction

If provoked or challenged, a person with the Moon in a Fire sign will respond angrily and vehemently. Moon in Aries, Leo or Sagittarius

If the Moon is in a Water sign, the response will be emotional and may take on high drama or histrionics. Moon in Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces

If the Moon is in an Air sign, the response is detached, deliberate and almost politely rational. Moon in Gemini, Libra or Aquarius.

But if the Moon is in an Earth sign, even if the person is upset, there may appear to be no reaction at all, instead there is a stoic or controlled tolerance. Moon in Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn

    Life Work Mystique

LIFE WORK or dharma evolves out of our own deepest need, lack or sorrow. It is based on a missing ingredient in our lives--- or an experience that made us see an overriding need.

Whatever we have most needed at a critical time of life-- can eventually become the essence of what we find ourselves doing for others. Why is this? Because no one can do it better. If you have lived through a terrible accident, or overcome a disease, or ended a relationship painfully-- or if you suffered from the loss of a parent, or child--you are the one who can best sit with someone and be there for them.

Or like Christopher Reeve, you can use your catastrophe to lobby Congress for help with research in spinal injuries. Also the woman who suffered such devastating burns in the Trade Towers is able just by surviving--to inspire those who have suffered similarly-- and had given up.

I asked an opthamologist why he became an eye specialist. He answered that his mother had been blind. He didn't have to say more.

I give blood every 56 days at the Red Cross Center. When asked why, I realized why. It traced it back to sitting in the hospital day after day while my husband had daily transfusions around the clock. That blood had to come from someone and that someone had given life to him and he stil

    A UNIVERSAL TRUTH

Most world faiths can trace their roots to one of the great religious bodies listed below. These religions share certain fundamental truths or concepts that stand the tests of time. One of the best known truths is listed here. The religions are listed in alphabetical order.

BRAHAMANISM/Hinduism:This is the sum of duty: Do NOT unto others that which would cause you pain if done to you.

BUDDHISM: "Hurt not others in ways that you yourself would find hurtful."

JUDAISM: "What is hateful to you, do not to your fellow man."
CHRISTIANITY: "All things whatsoever ye would that others should do to you, do ye even so to them.ISLAM: "No one of you is a believer until he desires for another that which he desires for himself."

TAOISM: "Regard your neighbor's gain as your own gain, and your neighbor's loss as your own loss."

ZOROASTRIANISM: "That nature alone is good which refrains from doing unto another whatsoever is not good for itself."THE HUMAN RULES

HERE ARE : C.C.Scott's Eight Human Rules. They have been adjusted slightly to reflect astrological concepts as we interpret them.

__ AT BIRTH WE RECEIVE A BODY: Whether we like it or not it is ours for life. We can remold it, reshape it, and do far more with it than we could ever suspect.

__WE ALSO LEARN LESSONS: We are enrolled in an informal school called life. Every day we have the chance to learn lessons. Some lessons are fascinating and challenging. Others seem stupid and irrelevant. Sometimes nothing happens at all but we learn patience. All are necessary.

__THERE ARE NO MISTAKES, no errors, no failures, just lessons: Life is an experiment. Like inventors, some things work, some don't.

__ A LESSON IS REPEATED UNTIL IT IS LEARNED: The lesson will be presented again and again in many guises until it is learned. When we finally learn it, we are free to go on to the next lesson. Until then, we stay where we are.

__LEARNING LESSONS DOES NOT END: If we are alive, we are learning. To stop learning, to prevent growth, is to die.

__OTHERS ARE MERELY MIRRORS OF US: We cannot admire or detest something about a person unless it reflects something we adore or detest about ourselves. Otherwise we wouldn't even notice it or care.

__WE ALREADY HAVE EVERYTHING WE NEED. We have within us all the required tools and resources for mastering life. The power and responsibility is ours alone.Trust the answers within.

__ PAIN DOES NOT HAVE TO BE PART OF LEARNING-- but it does get our attention: Life is an adventure and daily we write our own history. Each challenge allows more and more of our inner abilities to unfold and reveal.
